John and Paul met Sue Lawton Building Maintainance Manager regarding what Property Services do. Here's what we found out:
Fencing can be a difficult issue regarding whether fences are Council or the householder's responsibility. With the front of the house they see what work needs to be done on estate walkabouts but at the rear it is up to tenants to report.
At the moment the Council are reviewing fencing and I will update you when we have more information.

WHAT DO WE DO?
We provide a 24 hour, 365 day service for emergency repairs, we have a plumber and a carpenter on call throughout the year.
We provide a reactive repair service where our tenants can arrange an appointment for the work to be carried out, these works include plumbing, joinery, roofing and glazing.
We run cyclical programmes throughout the year for fencing, bricklaying, plastering, guttering and painting. We also service lighting in our communal areas of General Purpose Flats and Independent Living Schemes.
We have a team who carry out our front and back door renewal programme.
We provide a weekly cleaning service for our communal areas in General Purpose Flats, this can also include fly tipping and rubbish removal from these areas.
